The final episode was supposed to feature the first gay kiss ever aired on Brazilian TV, between the characters played by Bruno Gagliasso and Erom Cordeiro. Their scene was done in seven takes. However, Rede Globo decided to cut the scene at the eleventh hour. Contrary to expectations, the scene would also not be featured on Globoplay's release (Globo TV's streaming service), as it was deleted permanently. Years later, Trail of Lies (2013) would broadcast the first gay kiss on Brazilian TV.
Director Jayme Monjardim decided to quit the series announcing disagreements with the writer Glória Perez.
