Zelos Wilder: Me? You want me to carry this ogre by myself? Are you kidding me?
Colette Brunel: Here, I'll help. Zelos will have a hard time of it by himself.
Zelos Wilder: Aww, you're so nice, Colette! We Chosens have to look out for each other, right?
Colette Brunel: Yeah!
[Picks up the large convict effortlessly by herself]
Colette Brunel: Oh, he's lighter than I thought. I can carry him myself.
Zelos Wilder: Haha... I see...
Raine Sage: Men are so useless these days.

Lloyd Irving: [walking onto the Thoda Dock and see what they're crossing the sea in] It's a... washtub?
Genis Sage: Yup, it's a washtub...
Kratos Aurion: Washtubs, hmm...
Colette Brunel: Wow! This looks like it'll be fun!
Raine Sage: I... I'm going to wait here. Go on ahead without me.
Lloyd Irving: What's wrong, Professor Sage?
Raine Sage: N... nothing. I'm not getting in that thing.
Colette Brunel: It looks fun! Come on, let's get in!
Genis Sage: Yeah Raine!
[Genis tugs on Raine's arm]
Raine Sage: [yelps] Ahh!
[Everyone looks at her in surprise]
Lloyd Irving: Ahh? Professor Sage... are you afraid of water or something?
Raine Sage: I... I was just starting to say, "Ahh, this should be fun!"
Lloyd Irving: Um... sure.
Kratos Aurion: ...Heh.

Raine Sage: [Sometimes at the end of a battle, if they're both in the party] What was that enemy's name?
Colette Brunel: I like Poochie!
Raine Sage: No, dear, I meant the species.

Raine Sage: People are sinful creatures. Life survives at the cost of another. Then we must continue to bear the burden of our sins for as long as we continue to live.

Lloyd Irving: Efreet! If we wake up Efreet, we'll sever the mana flow!
Raine Sage: No, it's Sylph. How many times do I have to tell you that?
Regal Bryant: I can see the education level in Sylvarant matches the status of the world.
Lloyd Irving: [blushing] Uh... I guess you can say that!
Presea Combatir: Lloyd... That was not a compliment!

Raine Sage: Lloyd, this room will soon collapse. Hurry up and go.
Lloyd Irving: No! I'm not leaving you behind! I don't want to sacrifice anyone anymore!
Raine Sage: Sacrifice? When did anyone become a sacrifice? I believe in your ideals. A world that would accept those of us caught in the middle. I believe in your vision of the world. It has become my hope. I came all the way here in order to realize that dream. I've no regrets.
[Raine closes her eyes]
Raine Sage: Saving the world won't mean anything if we lose you! My soul will go on the world you create. But if your ideals die, then my hope dies as well. Living on without hope is worse than death, don't you think?
Lloyd Irving: I don't understand that at all!
Raine Sage: If you don't understand, then make use of your remaining life to think about what it means for a person to live. That's my final lesson to you as a teacher. Now go. Do as your teacher says.
Lloyd Irving: Professor Sage! I'll never forget you!
[Lloyd runs off, leaving Raine alone in the collapsing room]
Raine Sage: The rest is in your hands, my precious student...
