This little-known video is all about an Adult video store, and manages to charm porn fans the way that the goofball Jack Black comedy "Be Kind Rewind" did for mainstream audiences in search of something different.
Director Alex Ladd is a journeyman in porn, still active two decades later mainly as a cameraman, especially for Wicked and now venturing into gay porn for the new Mile High label "Noir Male". Here we find him with erstwhile critic (working with the dreaded AVN team) Roger Pipe as scriptwriter with amazing results.
Perhaps with a nod to Kevin Smith and "Clerks", story is set in a video store where former employee Tyce Bune shoots the breeze with current clerk Jay Ashley. The sex vignettes stem from anecdotes of odd happenings at the store, or simply banging the female personnel.
Show gets off to an incredibly arousing start with an extraneous sex scene, shot in beautiful, vivid color, starring the busty Candy Cotton, getting humped by Brit Porn stud with dreadlocks Karl Kincaid, who went on to become a prolific Euro Porn purveyor for Mile High Media.
Strong sex scenes featuring Chennin Blanc and especially Samantha Styles follow, with a very effective set piece featuring Chris Cannon as a horny customer, masturbating in the store to a VHS box of a Taylor St. Claire hit "Rage" (from the same distributor as "Behind the Counter") that turns into his erotic fantasy of humping Taylor right there in the store.

This simple format turns out to be both amusing and very sexy, with the nostalgia value now adding to the mix, given the demise of Blockbuster and any sort of video stores (including Adult) in recent years.
