Where's it from? Germany.
What's it about? Martin Rauch (Jonas Nay) is wrenched from the world he knows and sent to the West as an undercover Stasi spy at the height of the Cold War. Hiding in plain sight in the West German army, he must gather the secrets of Nato military strategy.
Could it be a hit in the UK? Talks with Brit broadcasters are currently ongoing, but a big factor here could be the news that Deutschland '83 is...

Danish director’s final TV series to be premiered later this month by Danish pubcaster Dr.
Danish director Kathrine Windfeld has died at 48 after a short illness. According to local press, she suffered from a brain tumour.
Windfeld, whose latest television series (as conceptual director) The Team (Mord uden grænser) – a European Dr-zdf-svt-orf-arte co-production starring Danish actor Lars Mikkelsen – will be premiered by Danish pubcaster Dr on Feb 22, left her imprint both in feature films and television drama.
“With her insisting power and energy she was on the threshold of realising the full potential of an already impressive career,” wrote managing director Henrik Bo Nielsen of the Danish Film Institute. “Her infectious humour and sometimes furious energy will be remembered and missed.”
Educated at the National Polish Film School in Lodz, adding a Ma in Film Production at the Northern School of Film & TV at the University of Leeds, Windfeld made several shorts and documentaries while working...

A danish police woman, intuitively impressive cop, tough as bricks in a world populated by doubting men, compromised personal life - sound familiar?
For those missing their dose of Danish TV crime on Saturday nights, fear not, there's a new box set out just for you.
Unit One - an elite team travelling around Denmark solving some of the country's most heinous crimes
While distributors Nordic Noir could be forgiven for scraping the barrel in their attempts to feed their ever-hungry British audience with whatever subtitled murder they can get their hands on, the good news is that 'Unit One' is a cracking series, with all the ingredients we've come to expect from our Danish counterparts (And the bonus ball of Casino Royale villain Mads Mikkelsen in a lead role).
