The room in which a computer is used to "decode" the Bible was the only set built specifically for this film. The rest of the scenes were shot on a variety of locations around the world.
Executive producer and televangelist Paul Crouch published a novelization of the film, co-written with Lance Charles.
Casper Van Dien and Michael Ironside previously starred in Starship Troopers(1997) together.
