    • Trivia
The first of seven government-sponsored promotional shorts Lindsay Anderson turned out in 1955. All were produced by Leon Clore and on average run five minutes each; four were made for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children. In her 1969 monograph on the director, Elizabeth Sussex called these films "propaganda of one kind or another. Yet Anderson succeeded in putting enough of himself into most of them to make them interesting examples of a style now emerging with much clarity from a surprisingly small amount of actual footage".
