This was the last film to be started at Walton Studios. Production started on January 3rd 1961. By January 18 all production at the studios ceased and the news broke that the land was going to be sold to developers. By March the company was wound up, despite attempts to keep it open.
During this time, the completion of 'Bomb in the High Street' (know then as 'Time to Kill') was discussed, but reviving the project was said to be uneconomical, given the extra costs set against the expected earnings from the film.
Research has yet to reveal how film ended up being completed and released.
