Even if the movie leaves unanswered the details about the spoof marriage and divorce between Marylin Rexroth and Howard D. Doyle, a reasonable assumption is that she availed of the collaboration with her lawyer Freddy Bender (possibly eager to take revenge against Miles for the poor performace at the Rexroth divorce trial) and some financing by her friend, the pluridivored Sarah Sorkin (especially for organizing the lavish marriage ceremony, obviously with actors performing as guests). However, it is not clear how a skilled lawyer like Miles Massey was so easily duped; probabily he was too much infatuated by Marylin to doubt her motives.
