Kyle Richards and Kim Richards have a strong message for their Real Housewives of Beverly Hills costar Eden Sassoon: mind your own business.
After weeks of Sassoon insisting that Kim, a recovering addict, was on the verge of relapsing, and that Kyle was enabling her sister’s substance abuse, the Richards sisters assured Sassoon on Tuesday’s all -new episode that they didn’t need her help.
“I think maybe you’re reading into things with a magnifying glass or something,” Kyle first explained, as the two discussed the issue at pal Lisa Rinna’s backyard BBQ. “I don...

Lisa Rinna may have apologized to her Real Housewives of Beverly Hills rival Kim Richards for the hurtful things she said about her in the past — but that doesn’t mean the 53-year-old actress’ lips are sealed.
On Tuesday’s all-new episode of the hit Bravo franchise, Rinna went on the attack again, suggesting that Richards — a recovering addict — might be in the middle of a relapse.
“I would say she’s probably mostly sober right now,” Richards told friend Eden Sassoon during a shopping trip. “I don’t think she’s completely.”

Eden Sassoon made her debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Tuesday, opening up about how her late sister became addicted to drugs while partying in the ’80s with Robert Downey, Jr. and original Rhobh star Kim Richards.
The daughter of legendary beauty icon Vidal Sassoon, Catya Sassoon died of an overdose in 2002. She was just 34.
“For a long time I was numb, very numb to it,” Eden, 43, explained to Housewives Lisa Rinna and Erika Girardi on Tuesday. “And completely shut off.”

Spider-Man: Homecoming is one of the most anticipated films of 2017 and fans are eager to see more footage from it. While we wait for that, I've got an amazingly fun retro-style mashup trailer that was created by Darth Blender. It combines footage from The Amazing Spider-Man (1977), The Goonies (1985), Condorman (1981), and Tuff Turf (1985). The footage is all cut together to the audio of the Homecoming trailer.
A young Peter Parker (Nicholas Hammond) begins to navigate his newfound identity as the Spider-Man. Do not miss this spectacular adventure recorded in high-fidelity stereo sound and clear color image. Prepare your tape and set your Vcr, because you'll rewatch it again and again off primetime!

There are roughly 900,000 tribute pieces online this week about the 1985 John Hughes film "The Breakfast Club," and I understand the motivation. If you were the right age when the film was released (I was 15 at the time), that movie felt like a lightning bolt right to the face. Hughes treated teenagers like they were actual people with complex emotional lives worthy of respect, and while that would seem to be a logical approach to writing about any character, it certainly didn't feel average when he did it. He wrote about that secret world of teenagers with what felt like laser accuracy, and he basically created an entire industry of movies that tried to tap into that same audience. So certainly, there is much to celebrate when looking back at that particular film, but when I went to look at a list of the films that came out in 1985, a year...

It was already a good show, one of the best new broadcast TV series of the year. And then Joe Carnahan blew up The Blacklist, directing and co-writing an episode that was bloodier, more urgent, and more painful than anything that had come before. James Spader, who emerged in the mid-80s as a young, slick, oily, yupppie-in-training (Tuff Turf, Pretty in Pink), is the anchor and main selling point of the series. The character he plays, Raymond "Red" Reddington, is a former government agent who turned traitor, becoming a middle man available to broker deals for and in behalf of international criminals and rogue governments alike, to whoever can pay the highest price. In the first episode, he turns himself in to the FBI, with...

Yet another film from my youth and one that I distinctly remember from the pages of The Dark Side magazine (back in my pre-internet days when I used to buy horror mags religiously), Dr. Alien is a film that, despite my knowledge of it, I have yet to see. So this new DVD from 88 Films is a welcome addition to my ever-growing B-movie library.
After Ms. Xenobia takes over Dr. Ackerman’s science class following an “incident” the puts Ackerman in the hospital, she persuades a nerdish Wesley Littlejohn to participate in some vitamin research she and her assistant Drax are conducting. Suddenly Wesley becomes very desirable to all the ladies – including Ms. Xenobia herself – despite the fleshy antenna that grows out of his head when he’s excited!

HeyUGuys is normally a website devoted to film and all that goes along with film. I’m going to switch gears here for a moment and talk about books. Last fall I did an interview with screenwriter Derek Haas (Wanted, 3:10 to Yuma) regarding a short story from his website PopcornFiction.com that was picked up by Jerry Bruckheimer. In the course of that interview, Derek made mention that he was writing the third story in a series of books and that his second novel was on the verge of release. So I did what any book lover would do. I got them, read them and then interviewed Derek again.
His first novel, The Silver Bear, is focused on a gun for hire that goes by the name of Columbus. The story , narrated by Columbus, follows him on one of his not so routine missions. Crisscrossing between his past and his present,...

Robert Downey Jr. has dropped out of new movie "Cowboys and Aliens" to concentrate on the "Sherlock Holmes" sequel, according to reports. The Hollywood actor was set to re-team with "Iron Man" director Jon Favreau for the sci-fi adventure, based on the 2006 graphic novel of the same name.
But Favreau is now looking for a new star after Downey Jr. quit the project following a schedule clash with a planned follow-up to the detective drama, according to EW.com. Studio bosses are reportedly set to have Downey Jr. back as Holmes in June to start shooting the sequel.
Robert Downey Jr. made a breakthrough when portraying James Spader's sidekick in 1985 film "Tuff Turf". His first lead role was Jack Jericho in 1987 movie "The Pick-up Artist". Several movies he has starred included "Iron Man", "Tropic Thunder" and "Sherlock Holmes".

A while back FirstShowing.net posted this story about Jerry Bruckheimer acquiring the rights to a short story written by Wanted and 3:10 to Yuma scribe, Derek Haas. The story is titled Shake was one of many that Haas featured on his short story website PopcornFiction.com.
If you haven’t heard of PopcornFiction.com, it’s a website that Haas created so that he and other screenplay writers/writers could flex their genre short fiction muscles. As a subscriber to the site, I get updated each time a new story is published. I read Shake and actually emailed Haas to let him know how much I loved the story and that I hoped there would be a part two. Crafty devil that he is, he ended the story in a bit of a cliffhanger. The short story deals with an FBI agent who is on the hunt for a...
