After buying the saddle Jason places a Lariat over the horn then picks it up & goes through the door. When he gets to the other side of the door the Lariat has moved from the horn to the strap below the horn.
After Choctaw shoots three (of seven) rounds at Jason, the scene shifts to Milt and Dell talking for at least 20 seconds. When the camera comes back on Choctaw the smoke from the third shot can still be seen clearing from in front of him.
Sweet's position in the final scene with the colonel varies depending upon whether it is a long shot or a close-up. In the close-up, Sweet is standing in front of the fireplace; in the longer shot, he is to the left of the fireplace.
When Chocktaw confronts Jason he fires seven shots from his six-shooter before stopping to reload.
At about the 1 hour, 18 minute mark when Jason has rode fast to get to the Colonel's place it's made apparent the horses were rode hard as they are shown with foamy sweat, but seconds later in the next shot as Jason rides on through the property no foamy sweat is seen on the horses.
When Jason and the Colonel have their shootout in the Colonel's house slow motion replay
shows that Jason's gunshot is pointing at the floor when it goes off, and yet the Colonel dies.
After being run out of town on the train the night of the party, the next day when Jason had the train back into town, a contrail is clearly visible above the locomotive cab.
@ 58:12 in, jet contrails are in the sky, long before jets existed.
The action is supposed to be in the summer, specifically around the Fourth of July, as evidenced by the town holding a July 4th party. But outdoor Fall colors are clearly in evidence throughout the film.
At about the 15 minute mark after Dell has knocked on the door and Jason says "Come in", the boom mic shadow can be seen moving on the wall behind him above the bed.
When Pernell Roberts yells to Robert 'Buzz' Henry, in the hotel window, he calls him "Buzz" instead of his character name "Red".
When Jason is in the bar early in the movie, he puts the cigar in his mouth although he had just put it there a split second before.
