Lindsay Anderson's second documentary for manufacturer Richard Sutcliffe Ltd. A previous attempt at making this film had to be abandoned because Anderson's camera was jamming so badly, the processing lab sent a telegram: "Suggest you stop shooting". The Sutcliffes bought a camera from cinematographer Douglas Slocombe, and Anderson started again from scratch.
