From housework tombola to Race For Life: Sarah explains how she battles mental health problems, one job at a time.
Welcome to Geeks Vs Loneliness, our weekly spot where we talk about issues, problems, stresses and demands that are affecting sometimes a few, sometimes many of us. We try and come up with a few ideas that may be of us too, but as we've always said, we don't - worse luck - have any magical elixir in our cupboard.
This week, we welcome the brilliant Sarah Myers, who will take over the column from here. She wanted to talk about how she finds setting often very small goals helps her. Hopefully, there's something in here that might help you, or someone you know.

Demi Wright's family and friends are in mourning after a bizarre series of events that resulted in the "bubbly, positive and cheerful" 22-year-old from the U.K. dying from an aggressive form of cancer. Wright was admitted to the hospital in November after suffering pains in her side. The source: An undiscovered tumor was emitting hormones similar to those that occur during pregnancy. Things went from confusing to shattering: First admitted to a maternity ward, Wright was then diagnosed with terminal adenocarcinoma and informed that the tumor had spread throughout her entire body. Over the past couple of days, one video more than any other has taken over the North East. That video, featuring a local musical act called May Arcade has steadily grown to a massive 915k views on the girls’ Youtube account thanks to a blend of genuine musical talent and a comic tilt on the slightly stalkerish pop song.
The videos rise from nowhere has already seen the girls interviewed on local radio, as well as appearing on Australian TV and live in front of a 10,000 or so audience at the Newcastle Race For Life on Sunday. But that’s all by-the-by, as it’s the video itself, and May Arcade’s version of the song that really deserves the focus.
So without further ado, here it is…
Very funny stuff, and you can expect to hear more from the May Arcade girls in the coming days and weeks as the video gets bigger.
