Mr. Freeze is kidnapped by a robot resembling the Mechanical Monster robots and is hidden inside the robot's chest cavity. The robot is also impervious to machine-gun fire.
"World of Tomorrow" is subtitled "Mechanical Monsters." The robots are designed after those in the Superman cartoon and multiple shots are replicated from the cartoon.
The design of the flying robots in the first action scene is based closely on the mechanical monsters in the classic Superman cartoon by Fleischer studios, including the sillouetted transformation of the robots' arms into wings.
