Oliver Hardy, James Finlayson, and Stan Laurel in Big Business (1929)

Trivia

Big Business

Edit
Stan Laurel contradicted Hal Roach's story about the crew demolishing the wrong house during filming. According to Stan, "... the chap who owned the house was employed at the studio and worked on the film with us."
Thinking The Homeowner James Finlayson will buy a tree, Stan calls out "Babe!" to Ollie, who is standing at their car. Babe was Oliver Hardy's nickname, but was not used in the films. As a silent, no one felt a need to correct it.
The scene at The Homeowner's house was planned to be the second of several stops, but when Stan Laurel, Oliver Hardy, and James Finlayson began improvising there was no stopping them, and director James W. Horne just let the cameras roll.
This film was selected for preservation in the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress in 1992.
The policeman's car is a 1926 Chevrolet Superior Touring. Stan and Ollie's pickup is an early 1920s Ford Model T.
