This is a true crime show. It's not on to make you feel giddy. But it is a valuable lesson in the hard work some detectives do to solve complex murders. We need more detectives who value human life and do not overlook things to catch killers.

This show is very interesting and Pat is a man you feel like you know. He's real and he's not full of himself-which he should be, because his ability to solve these cases and find the murderers is impressive. I like that they recreate the scene just as he first saw it when it happened, and how Pat goes through everything with you in detail. You feel like you're right along with him, helping solve the case, which is what I think most of us true crime fans would love to be able to do. He shows genuine caring about the victims and their families, while being able to maintain the composure it takes to solve the crime. I really wish there was a season 3, 4, 5 etc! My husband and I love Deadly Recall. Thanks for sharing your talents and experiences with us, Pat. The world is better because of you.

I only found this series tonight ! Deadly Recall! Watching as I am writing, today is 08/05/23. I believe the series started year ~~ 2019. Why only 2 seasons? Meouch! GRRRRRRR! Great real time crime series & once again only a few episodes/series. Once upon a time series were done every week 365 days. The equations I'm unable to configure.
For ALL true Crime lovers we should all have the ability to weigh in on whether these greats should continue!
It is now 2023 & there has been no further episodes:/ I love real time crime footage!
I love the scenes without barriers or blurs. I don't think this is a series that does this & only has the recreations!
This is filmed via video from start 2 finish in real time. I wish more series would add the true ~crime time footage! It's an Awesome too!
Morbid curiousity! There's a high percentage of true crime lovers I believe enjoy the T. C. S. As well. If anyone Loves to watch don't touch that dial. For all other non crime series lovers, it's easy to flip the channel! Easily turn the page and don't warch. Hahaha:)
I am guessing we, the T. C. S lovers, are on the same page., thats my guesstimate!
There's great narration! The Detective has a photographic memory. So Very cool! Detective Pat Postiglione, I apologize for possibly not spelling your name correctly! Hey Detective Pat your incredible & have that rare photographic mind. This be must be a cool.
Please return this Great TRUE CRIME SERIES. Again awesome!
Love this series!

P S. A reviewer stated it's a lie & photographic memory didn't exist! Yes, it is a fact,,.. Fewer than 100 people have a photographic memory. Photographic memory is the ability to recall a past scene in detail with great accuracy - just like a photo. May 25, 2021 New Scientist Did you know? Fewer than 100 people have a photographic ...

In my ever so humble opinion, Pat Postiglione is AWESOME! The FINE details that he remembers is SPECTACULAR and he is an excellent storyteller. And I say " storyteller" as I would say a Novelist is a "storyteller". By far the most interesting, enthusiastic, DETAILED and down to earth Detective that I have seen on ID, or on any detective/crime series, ANY network combined. I am watching (I THINK) season 2 for either the THIRD or FOURTH TIME! Obviously, I do NOT have quite the memory as Detective Postiglione. I CAN however, remember what I wore the first day of high school in 1970 and one of my classmates in kindergarten asking if "Old McDonald" was there when taking a field trip to a farm!! So I have a pretty decent memory, but he blows my memory bank out of the water! I HAVE to believe that he is a super NICE MAN!! Thank you Detective Postiglione for your SUPERB and EXTREMELY DEDICATED service and seeing that JUSTICE has been delivered to the many families, friends and your community!!! You ROCK!!

The episodes are murder cases spread super thin. It's material for ten minutes, but instead the scenes are recreated to fill air time and Postiglione is showing the simplest steps of the investigation. And everything is repeated at least once. Typical narration:
(Commercial break.)
Etc.
It doesn't help that the cases are super bleak and depressing. What's supposed to be the takeaway from watching a show like this?
- We found a gun.
- The gun we found may or may not have belonged to the suspect.
- The gun we found that may or may not have belonged to the suspect, was sent to the lab.

The very premise of this show is a lie. There is NO SUCH THING as photographic memory or perfect recall. Human memory is fragile, unreliable and easily influenced by a variety of factors. Two people can have completely different versions of the same event without either person thinking that they're lying or behaving deceptively. In fact, the more confident a detective is that they know exactly how events unfolded, the more likely they are to make a mistake. The more sure a detective is, the more likely they are to get tunnel vision and exclude any other reasonable explanation. Law enforcement has a vested interest in lying to you. ID has a vested interest in perpetuating law enforcement propaganda. You should not be applauding this detective for failing to take notes. You should be thinking, "why on earth doesn't this guy think proper documentation is necessary?"
