        Selling toothpaste to the woke?

I felt somewhat conflicted by the inclusion of the more mainstream media at first (the Phil Collins puppet music video comes to mind), but the beauty in this insane bowl of VHS mashed potatoes is how, after 72 minutes, everything felt like it was exactly in the right place, and what a terrible terrible place that turned out to be. If the point of this was to truly satirize religious films from the ~80s and thereabouts by using and contorting their own material "against them," then The Great Satan would only warrant mediocre remarks. What makes EIT's TGS great is that it clearly relishes in the nihilist fringe of the culture-jammers. Nihilism, in these troubled, modern times, can be a wonderful thing and that's what we have here. That it makes a fool out of the leaders and followers behind "Satanic Panic" type movements/media is just gravy. Let The Great Satan wash over you: preferably by viewing this via the Tubi app, legally for free. Nothing is funnier than this madness being interrupted by a Crest toothpaste commercial three times over the course of an hour.

And That's The Way It Was...

EVERYTHING IS TERRIBLE! PRESENTS: THE GREAT SATAN is a jaw-dropping, gut-busting, mind-altering trip through the 1980s and early 90s, using clips from religious kids' shows, TV preachers, low-budget gore films, etcetera. It tells the story of... well, just how absurd it all was! The so-called "satanic panic" of the era is sliced, diced, and ultimately dissected into gooey little strips.

So many short clips are used that it flies by like a rancid porkchop fired from a cannon! Seriously, time is literally altered for those watching this cavalcade of satire and sermonizing carnage!

Absolutely hilarious from start to finish, your only hope is to give in to it now, and may God have mercy on your soul...

Not sure how to rate the unwatchable

As a a movie you sit and watch this is -10000 stars because it's non stop micro clips mashed together in an endless brain melting wave BUT as a thing made by someone, it's highly skilled work and deserves admiration. That doesn't mean you can watch it without hurting your head, but you can still give props for the construction. AVOID unless you are on drugs.

Might be good if you're on drugs or insane.

A billion 2 second clips presented out of context is not something a normal brain can enjoy. Even if you are familiar with lots of these old videos(like I am), you will get distracted by the bizarre Christian stuff and miss several clips in a row. A few hundred times. This can only be enjoyed by people with absolutely no attention span.
