Alex Hunter's name is based upon that of Alex the Hunter. An ancient tribesman who had determination, which is why EA used this name for their Journey protagonist

Following David Astori's death in March 2018 EA considered removing him from the game but Football Italia was against it so he was kept in the game as a tribute although several tweaks were made to his FUT kit.
