Rooster Teeth, a unit of WarnerMedia, has promoted Doreen Copeland to VP, Head of Production and Joe Clary and Sean Hinz to co-heads of animation.
Copeland will now oversee all physical production at Rooster Teeth. Clary and Hinz will co-lead day to day operations across all of Rooster Teeth’s animated productions including but not limited to Rwby, gen:lock, Rtaa, Death Battle and Red vs Blue. Clary and Hinz will report to Copeland.
Margaret M. Dean, Head of Crunchyroll Studios and president of Women in Animation, will continue to consult on animation productions.

A horror-comedy about the founder of a film festival will premiere at the most appropriate venue imaginable. Blood Fest, the third feature film from the popular digital studio Rooster Teeth, will screen as part of the "Midnighters" lineup at the 2018 edition of SXSW.
Blood Fest, which pits a group of genre-savvy leads against a murderous foe, will be at home within SXSW's late-night block in more ways than one. For starters, Rooster Teeth is based in Austin, which hosts SXSW each March. The film festival's Midnighters selection tends to include genre films, with a particular focus on horror movies.
Rooster Teeth previously forayed into the film world with Lazer Team, a sci-fi comedy that featured several of the studio's hosts among its cast. A sequel, Lazer Team 2, arrived in 2017.

In the original Lazer Team, four friends -- portrayed by Michael Jones, Gavin Free, Burnie Burns, and Colton Dunn -- came upon a powerful suit of armor, which granted them special abilities. The sequel to Lazer Team -- a sci-fi action comedy produced by Fullscreen Films and Rooster Teeth -- is set to arrive on YouTube Red Nov. 22, the video giant announced today, though a limited theatrical release courtesy of Gunpowder & Sky is planned ahead of the film’s digital debut.
