The film is inspired by Rodrigo Rodrigues 's experiences during his time in the atlantaic rainforest. He stated that the spirits of the rainforest led him to write the screenplay within three days and nights during his stay.
Only recycled material has been used to create costumes, wardrobes and set constructions for the film.

The Goitacas remained in the area of Rio de Janeiro during the 16. Century, known for their hunting abilities. The Ministry, Campos dos Goytacazes, in the state of Rio de Janeiro, is named after them.
Marlon Blue remained with indigenous tribes in the amazonian rainforest during pre-production of the film.
