A sergeant major in a little village asks children to write their wishes on their kites before fly them.Amirali writes Maryam's name on his kite.The teacher give children a subject for their composition class: "what do you want to do when you grow up?"Amirali and his friend Sohrab do research for their future job.At first Amirali choose to be a pilot because Maryam likes pilots.But when he sees how sergeant major put his life in danger to help a villager changes his mind and decides to be a policeman.Now Amirali is a policeman and should company a criminal and consign him to a prison.the criminal asks Amirali allow him to see his father that he hasn't seen for a long time.Amirali finally accepts but refuses to open his handcuffs So Amirali decides to change his uniform with criminal's clothes.The father recognizes that his son is not a real policeman but doesn't mention it and finally forgive his son.Amirali consign the criminal to prison.Amirali buys a wedding ring for Maryam who is a university student in city now.But Amirali has been informed that Maryam has a rich suitor.Maryam comes to see Amirali but he tells nothing.The very night the sergeant major that has been taken as a life model by Amirali gets sick.Amirali has to sell the ring to pay for sergeant major's treatments but he passes away.Maryam migrates to city with all her family and with tearing eyes gives back Amirali's childhood kite to him that her name is written on it.
