Nature Cat

FAQ

    It's an error.

In the original version of the episode "Rainy Day" (which was originally titled "Rain is Coming Tomorrow Early") Nature Cat says "Dang it Squeeks, you useless twerp!" after Squeeks finds his raincoat. But in the new version he says "Nothing gets past you Squeeks"

The show is based on a 1990s cartoon which began as specials from 1990-1994, and became a full series from 1998-2001. This series began production in 2009 and aired on PBS from 2015-2021.

No, Fred and the Nature Gang is NOT a real series. It was a fan-made show created by Brian Coukis that got stolen later on. Brian had no intention on making people think it was real. The thieves are the ones who caused the confusion.

The companies switched between 9 Story Media Group to Yowza! Animation. Because of this, the animation is now extremely cheap. The show itself had declined in quality of writing. The show will most likely be cancelled after the 5th season because of the downfall.

A internet user corrupted the 90s version of this show by making a fake alternative version of it called Nature Cat Tales. If you try looking for the 90s version of the show, you end up finding the fake version of it. These fake videos were mostly taken down, but since then the real show was taken down too. It may still exist somewhere, but it would be near impossible to find surviving copies of it in high quality. It is unknown if Disney still owns the rights to it, so we don't know if it will ever come to Disney+.

The show was originally rated TV-Y7, but since the first season the violence has toned down greatly, so now it is TV-Y.

It premiered on November 25, 2015 on WTTW, but on all other PBS stations it premiered on January 18, 2016.
