Witchcraft returns along with the usual characters and this time *Shock* they haven't been recast since the last film. I guess however that's easy to do considering they made three in the same year.
This picks up from where the last film left off and that's something they haven't done thus far. It works in its favour and even though the movie is your usual mix of excess nudity, awful sfx and terrible story it is still one of the better movies in the franchise.
I still do not understand how this franchise has lasted, 16 movies starting all the way back in 1988! I scoff at the quality of the films but the length of time they've survived is admirable.
If you like the other films you'll like this, otherwise steer clear.
The Good:
Follows on directly from part 14
The Bad:
Some awful cinematography
Just plain terrible in every aspect as usual
Things I Learnt From This Movie:
I think these movies were secretly made for horny teenagers

Witchcraft 15: Blood Rose (2016)
** (out of 4)
After the events from the previous film, Rose (Molly Dougherty) has come to terms with her having special powers. Pretty soon Sharon (Noel VanBrocklin) is using Rose's powers for her own deadly needs.
Director David Palmieri returns for this fifteenth (!!!!) entry in the incredibly long-running series. This film here picks up right where the previous one left off so it really does feel as if you're watching an extremely long film and especially when you watch them back-to-back like I did. With that said, all of the "bad" things that were in part fourteen (as well as the rest of the series) are on hand here but at the same time I found this one to be slightly more entertaining.
As you'd expect, going in expecting some sort of high art isn't the right thing to do. The film is pretty much like the rest as there's a plot dealing with witches and there's some nudity, sex and violence thrown in as well. What makes this film a bit better than the previous entry is the fact that there's a bit more sleaze going on this time. There's a lot more nudity, a lesbian scene and this here certainly helps keep the running time moving. I also give the director a lot of credit for making this film fit in well with the previous entries. This actually looks and feels like the previous movies and I appreciated that.
With that said, there's still a lot of bad things here. This includes some of the performances, which actually appear worse here than in the previous movie. I'm not exactly sure how that happened but it did. The CGI effects are incredibly cheap and bad looking. The plot doesn't have a lot going for it and some of the dialogue drags on when it's not needed.
