THE CROSSING from writer/director Thomas Haley is a short that plays like a feature.
Victoria De Mare plays a bride out for revenge after losing her husband on the eve of there wedding.
It happens at the crossing an anyone who shows there in a happy relationship meets there end in the hands of This vengeful spirit.
She has become a sought of Urban Legend in the area. But now she has met her Match with a Spunky couple. Travis (Charles Chudabala) and Melissa (Brooklyn Haley) who happen upon the crossing and temp the bride. Well she met met match with these 2. But will they be able to survive and find true love unlike the poor bride from Hell?
I think Thomas Haley is one of the most talented all around Filmmakers that I have come across in a long time. What he has told in 14 minutes, sometimes can't be told as successfully in 90 minutes and millions of dollars more. He starts off scaring the hell out of you and just continues rolling through every trick in the book and nailing it. Sound pictures and cinematography are all top notch and clearly done with love for making movies. Now along for the ride is his also very talented and a equally fun to watch Brooklyn Haley. She commands every scene she is a part of and takes the role to award winning caliber. Her deliveries and emotions in every scene is amazing. This young actress will be going places and make a mark in the industry! Her pairing up with rising and equally fun to watch Charles Chudabala is genius. I first saw Charles in the Ugly Sweater Party! He is another one when in a scene it's so enjoyable. The pairing of these two gave an already fun cast even more appeal. My favorite has to be the cameo In the florist by horror Director (Lilith)Alexander T. Hwang . A must see for all genre fans. Now Thomas I want a feature Starring Brooklyn and everyone else here. The ever present Felissa Rose, shows up as a waitress. That is one busy lady. But I love her performances We need your talent in the horror genre making fun scary movies! Like I said there is so much fun packed in 14 minutes, the only bad thing I can say is....nothing. Look forward to your next venture!
