L'AMOR MIO NON MUORE stars the entire great Neapolitan acting family of Eduardo, Peppino, and Titina DeFilippo as well as a very young Alida Valli. It is a sentimental and formulaic curiosity piece with some small pleasures. In it Eduardo DeFilippo plays a man who has emigrated to the United States and then returns to Naples to find that his long-lost love (Alida Valli) is now married and poor. When this film was imported for the Italian ethnic audiences in the U.S., to be shown in Italian-language theatres, some changes were made to it. It was given a new title ('NA SERA 'E MAGGIO), Peppino DeFilippo's prologue song was removed, two musical numbers were inserted into the film at an outdoor cafe' scene near the beginning, including "'Na sera 'e maggio" by the singing duo "I Due Minestrelli."
