The story is about a young blind man and his best friend into their journey, to independance.
No one but themselves (barely) believes in them.
This show reminded me that, other people too have problems. It's something we often forget or tend not to think about. But we all do.
And this show delivered that message splendendly. While making me laugh too here and there.
Btw, Charly definttely stole the show!
Amazing cast too. I'd have loved to have more episodes and have the show spend more time on other characters.
They pretty much all deserved to get an episode on them. Also, I felt like that the show tried a lot of things with very little at their disposal.
With so many characters and only 8ep of 25min.. But they managed well. I guess they did because i'm hungry for more.
I hope that this show gets renewed for a second season!

I'm Mexican so I understood all the jokes in their main language and I loved that, but I truly believe that everyone from any country can enjoy this gem!
The story is so beautiful and funny, I cried and laughed a lot watching this. I'm so glad to see this kind of good content from my country, I'm not going to lie, sometimes Mexican movies and shows are not the best, but this one omg! I was truly impressed on how everything looks amazing!
I loved so much Charly's character, he made me laugh so much and cry and also understand that people with disabilities are so much more than that Sometimes we forget that and we need to take more care about this.
Alexis is an incredible character, I enjoyed his character so much. I just enjoyed a lot this show!

As a fan of stand up comedy and the Spanish language I was mildly excited when I found this series.
It starts very well, showing the relationship between Alexis, a young blind man, and his best friend Charlie, which has cerebral palsy.
They are pretty good actors and their friendship chemistry was amusing to watch.
Alexis's parents were also very good and funny, as parents dealing with his son leaving their little town to try a living in Mexico City as a stand up comedian.
The best thing in the show for me is that they were actors with real disabilities and not "fake" ones.
The show has funny but warm sides that were captivating.
But I did find the series a bit too long starting from the 4th episode. It feels like they stretched it to 8 episodes when 6 or 7 were enough (this seems to happen a lot on Netflix's series nowadays).
In the end it became a little too emotional for me, which I thought made it a bit cheesey and unrealistic.
Also for it to be about stand up comedy I hoped it had more funny jokes, especially in the stage performances, instead of mostly an emotional touch.
Hence the 6/10.

Letting your little blind baby bird fly from the nest is as difficult for the loving overprotective parents as it is for Alexis to do. As the blind guy Alexis gets more pity while Charly, who puts on all the hard work, gets more direct derision. Having been disabled for a couple years after being hit by a car (a theme revisited many ways in this series) I fully appreciate the "otherness"feeling that drives the sensibility of this series so carefully explored both for comedic and sentimental value. Alexis has done standup on Netflix so this feels semi autobiographical to me, and moving from Querétaro to CDMX is a classic story of going to the big city filled with danger and opportunity . Living in Mexico I appreciated the reality of living there (saw with friends from there too) and about Mexican society with the privileged young Whitezicans needing a "cause" to take up to overcome their guilt.
Real, gritty, fun and original this series really is a lovely surprise and refreshing!
