Many of us are trying to better understand the world as it is seemingly moving in directions without clear destinations. " Rhythym of Causality " is a very well timed reminder of the connection between our actions and their consequences. We are introduced to a world where the main character's goal is " to make it through the day without wanting to shoot myself " . Through artful direction , noble cinematography, effective musical score and excellent acting, we are brought to a world where truth and understanding provide the rhythm of life. Further, we learn that the rhythm is created by a source and we are that source. The writer understood this point very well. In fact I got the feeling I was accompanying her on her own process of discovery. The Director was able to translate the philosophy of the rhythm to images. The relationship among the cast, crew and the Director was effective. The cinematography was very dynamic in reflecting the changing rhythm. The editing provided the pacing required by the story. The musical score added to the intensity of the feelings and thoughts of the characters. The acting was excellent. I cared for the characters, particularly Grace and her father. This piece requires the viewer to pay attention, listen and think. No grand action scenes here. Just capital for thoughtful reflection in our own lives. The first step in change is awareness. This film reminded me that once you make a commitment to seeking truth it is no longer a commitment. In full disclosure, I was the co - executive producer of this film.
