I got this as part of the Tomb Of Terrors set. The story centers around women being murdered in their bathtubs by a guy in a clown mask. In the mix is sleep disorder clinic. Apparently, the women dying are dreaming of their deaths. The male doctor has a patient who is having the dreams and wants to do further research, but the patient is the ex-girlfriend of the female doctor. The police refuse to believe the dream theory, so the female doctor begins her investigation.
Shot on video the picture is not that bad. There is plenty of nudity although some of it is dead and parts of weird dreams. There are outtakes during the credits and there was an actual crew shooting this, not just some guy with a hand-held.

The Tomb of Terrors box set presents Purvos which is about a purvy-murderous clown. It's cheap, sleazy, poorly-made filth. The clown parts were pretty entertaining as he hacks up naked women in bathtubs due to past trauma. He also likes being beaten and burned by a dominatrix. This is all due to his parents beating him and burning him as a child. The Purvos scenes are countered by scenes of an unappealing woman investigating his crimes and also sleep disorder or something. I didn't pay close attention to these parts because she wasn't hot and I'm a male chauvinist pig. Other than Purvos the best character here was the surly, foul-mouthed security guard. He added some comic relief to spice up the sleazy and boring parts. Why someone who just sits around staring at screens all day is always so angry is beyond me. It looked like an easy job. There's also a scene of two naked women making out in a bathtub covered in blood. Conrad Brooks has a small cameo. There's a number of twists at the end but by then you probably won't care too much. It's 74 minutes long with 4 minutes of goofing by the cast during the credits which is always annoying. This is poorly made and acted like most of the trash on this box set but it adds enough boobs, naked women being hacked up and general sleaze to make it worthwhile to fans of irredeemable sewage.
Somewhat entertaining entry from The Tomb of Terrors collection (50 movies for $22.99 horror fans). Fat, slobbering, grunting, mumbling man dresses like a clown, stalks women around some small town and dispatches them in their bathtubs. This guy has more issues than the New York Times and his hysterical giggling and talking to himself make him seem pretty obvious as some kind of sicko but yet he walks the streets without a second glance. What town is this- Cleveland? The story's somewhat predictable and the acting is rather unconvincing but hey- the title song played throughout the flick is very catchy, the killings are believable, and the victims are mostly very pretty. And a twist ending and a cool killer's mask. Sing along now, "They call me Purvo"
