S.C.I.E.N.C.E

Jordan DeNoce's take on the scientist falls in love genre is no less than fantastic. It's a story you've heard time and time again, a man luckless in love being chased my the CIA due to one of his inventions. Yet, DeNoce's vision brings this story to life in a new heartfelt manner. An amazing accomplishment at such a young age, and it being his feature film debut. His craft in creating comedic situations is fantastic, and the use of effects and stunts really jazzes up the narrative. He illustrates a world for the viewer, a world the director is intimately familiar with and invites the audience to join this world.

Stand out performances from JR Wickman, Kali Stivison, and Ken Hodge really bring the word to life. The will and determination to bring forth a new vision of cinema from America's young independent filmmakers is truly inspiring. This film currently unavailable to see, unless you know the filmmakers, and is such a loss. With so many films released with no concern for story telling or love of film, but merely with a target audience in mind, it's a shame these virtually unknown films are unable to get distribution. With independent film being such a buzzword currently it's hard to tell true independents, to studio-backed films using film festivals as test markets with low budget back burner films. It's a shame an industry with such a rich background in art, is used the same way salesmen shill off worthless goods. S.C.I.E.N.C.E. is a richly textured film that stands heads and shoulders above many more well known, and lesser known films available today. I hope you get the chance to see it

All in all it's a movie I truly enjoyed watching, and look forward to more work from this director in the future.
