Edwina Robbins demands to know what Bobby Connelly has in his pocket. When it turns out to be a frog, she bans him from the picnic next Saturday. So Master Connelly and his friends decide to hold a circus and charge a penny for admission.

Some people may look at this short subject and see it as an early example of movies about children that would flower into Hal Roach's "Our Gang" series. I disagree. That series was respectful to children, portraying people who did not remember what it was to be a child as mean;. Here, Miss Robbins insists on knowing what young Connelly has in his pockets, and when she is unpleasantly surprised for her snoopiness, freely punishes him. Neither does she bother to respect his commercial impulses, but grandly commands the show to continue. Phooey!
