'Hitman 2 (2018)' essentially provides more of what made the first game so successful. Its innovations aren't to its mechanics, but rather to its sandbox mission design. Although not much has been changed from the base game, the piece makes a number of small tweaks and improvements that add up to a more refined overall experience. You can purchase the levels from 'Hitman (2016)' (or, if you already own that game, simply download them) and play them here, making this the perfect place to start your journey if you haven't yet experienced that prior title. Even if this is, basically, more of the same, it's still a phenomenal stealth game. After all, why fix what isn't broken? The huge open-plan levels, the myriad of assassination methods, the plethora of disguises, the abundance of secrets and challenges, the absurd 'opportunities'... it's all here and it's all great. Plus, the game isn't episodic this time, so it can be enjoyed entirely at your own pace. It will be enjoyed, too. It's a fun, engaging and entertaining experience that you can easily sink hours into. 9/10
This game was left behind in the shuffle of the fall game market. It's a shame because it improves on Hitman 2016's gameplay and offers new maps that are large and dense. A fun time game if you will replay missions and experiment. If you want a long game with a great story, look somewhere else. For anyone who wants a fun stealth game with great levels and fun, Hitman 2 is the game for you.
As a sequel to 2016's Hitman this game doesn't do anything extraordinary or different, but it doesn't have to. It does everything right what its predecessor does, and that is fine - of course a few game mechanics were improved and the game itself looks better - but in total it feels like a greater DLC to Hitman 2016.
To the game itself, it provides 6 maps, 8 with DLC, with several missions for almost every map. The "story" is mostly mediated through cutscenes, but it's not important anyways. What's important is the Gameplay, which makes this game so special. There are multiple ways to finish a mission - in which you have to kill multiple targets, as you maybe read out from the title of the game - the possibilities are endless. There are brutal kills, goofy kills, melee kills, accidents, explosions, guns and a lot more. A core game mechanic are also disguises, which you can use to access different areas on the maps. You can either finish the entire game in 5 hours or you could figure out multiple ways to play a mission and easily end up with 200 hours - I myself have over 800 - it's up to you how long you spend with this game. I would only recommend it to people who like to explore games very intensively and don't rush too much. For me it's one of my favorite games since you have nearly endless possibilities and therefore endless fun - the feeling when a long thought out plan to kill a target works out perfectly is indescribable.
All in all I had to give this game a 10/10 for reasons I described above.
Have fun and good luck, 47.
This is my second game off of the Xbox One which I have played in 4K.
What can I say there is certainly more to do in Hitman 2 than previous instalments. I was actually wanting to play Hitman 3 but accidently got stuck with Hitman 2 through a misunderstanding.
More than a few missions. If you learn how to complete each one then return to it to play again you will increase what is called your "mastery" so you can also unlock achievements associated with that down the track.
You get taken in to what is like a Hitman game hub. You can download all the Hitman games for Xbox One.
As I said there is plenty to do you won't want to be playing the same mission once.
4K for now has flawless graphical quality so I do recommend buying a cheap 4K television with ultra HD (Asian brands you haven't heard of before) like I have to upgrade your gaming experience.
Do try it.

Hitman 2 is stealth video game developed by IO Interactive and published by Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment. It's the seventh entry in the Hitman franchise and the second out of three games of the current game series. This game has four main maps plus two free downloadable maps as well as expensive bonus material that offers many hours of entertainment.
On the positive side, the different maps offer numerous possibilities to execute targets and retrieve information. Players can use traditional weapons such as knives and pistols but may also use their environment to stage accidents or even put blame for their actions on other characters. The different maps have much replay value and are also quite diversified with my favourites being the small village in the jungle of Colombia and the narrow streets of the busy slums of Mumbai. The graphics of this game are very lively and realistic.
On the negative side, the main story has slow pace and never manages to take off and grab the players. Anyone who is looking for creativity, depth or surprises might end up feeling disappointed. The numerous cutscenes are boring and stiff. The soundtrack is repetitive and unspectacular. The fact that the physical edition of the game doesn't even include all the main maps is unacceptable and the elevated price for bonus content is exaggerated cutthroat capitalism at its worst.
As you can read, Hitman 2 is only interesting for avid fans of the franchise who like to explore different ways to complete the maps and the bonus content. Occasional and new fans might however find that this game has several lengths and lacks intensity. At the end of the day, the game is passable but one of the weakest entries in the franchise.
