Sarah Mae is a writer and actress in Los Angeles. She originates from Ohio, and has lived many lives, including being an officer in the Air Force and a frontline nurse. Sarah performs improvised theatre at Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles and got her comedy start in San Antonio where she performed as a lead cast member on two house teams and starred in staged comedy shows like Familiar (an improvised character show) and Dunguns N' Dargons (an improvised D&D show).
Sarah writes for TV and film, including the web series Kneaded, where she plays the artistic, offbeat lead character. Sarah created Kneaded with her partner Carey Adkins. Most recently, Sarah earned a fellowship in the Writer's Guild Foundation Veteran's Writing Program, where she mentored with Simon Rich, John Hoberg, and Maria Ferrari. She was also a semi-finalist for the Nickelodeon Writing Program in 2020.
When she isn't acting or writing, you'll find her watering her houseplants or boasting about her Goodwill finds.
