In this horror satire set in 1989, BAD HAIR follows an ambitious young woman (Elle Lorraine) who gets a weave in order to succeed in the image-obsessed world of music television. However, her flourishing career comes at a great cost when she realizes that her new hair may have a mind of its own. Cast: Elle Lorraine, Vanessa Williams, Lena Waithe, Laverne Cox, Jay Pharoa, Kelly Rowland, Blair Underwood, James Van Der Beek, Usher Raymond BAD HAIR is written and directed by Justin Simien. Simien also serves as a producer alongside Julia Lebedev, Angel Lopez, and Eddie Vaisman. Executive Producers include Leonid Lebedev, Oren Moverman, and Alex G. Scott. The film is produced by Sight Unseen in association with Culture Machine.

Hi, my name is Zaria Amiyah Kelley and I am a fun-loving outgoing actress who works hard to live my dream...Zariasdream. You can find me as a kid host on the popular Youtube series "Arts n Rap" produced by All Def Digital Of Dej Jam Records. I was given the opportunity to take part in 2 amazing stage plays entitled Ruby Bridges: The Story of Ruby Bridges as I was cast for the lead role of Younger Ruby Bridges working under the direction of Karole Foreman and "The Watsons Go To Birmingham", where I worked under the direction of Bernadette Speaks from the popular film Love Jones. I just recently finished a 3 month run in Denver, playing the lead role of Sam in the stage play "Last Night and the Night Before".
