Michael Dean Parsons is an Emmy-nominated composer for film and television.
Most recently, he composed the score for "Pain Hustlers," starring Emily Blunt and Chris Evans, from acclaimed Harry Potter director David Yates, alongside nine-time Academy Award nominee James Newton Howard. He also composed the main title theme for "Bridgerton" with Kris Bowers, for which they were nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.
Other film credits include additional music for the Academy Award Best Picture nominee "King Richard," as well as "Chevalier," "Space Jam: A New Legacy," and "Anthem." He also composed the scores for "Only," "How to Be Alone," "Souls of Totality," the Marvel Studios documentary "Stan Lee," and the Lucasfilm documentary "Obi-Wan Kenobi: A Jedi's Return."
Active in television, he contributed additional music to Marvel's "Secret Invasion," "Queen Charlotte," "Bridgerton," and "Raising Dion." He scored the Disney+ docuseries "Sketchbook," and composed additional music for docuseries including "Light & Magic," "Hostile Planet," and "Marvel 616." He also scored the fiction podcast series "Dark Woods" from Wolf Entertainment.
As a collaborator of James Newton Howard, he served as score producer on "The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes," "Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore," "All the Light We Cannot See," and "Willow."
As a composer of contemporary classical music, his works have been performed by the New York Philharmonic, the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Virtuoso Singers, at venues including David Geffen Hall, Carnegie Hall, and Alice Tully Hall.
