Biography

    • Shabazz Green made his off-Broadway debut with Philosophy for Gangsters at The Beckett Theatre in 2014 and returned to Urban Stages in Bars and Measures, hailed by the New York Times as a "handsomely polished" performance. In 2018, he premiered with Denver Center for the Performing Arts in their nationally recognized, acclaimed production of Oklahoma with an all Black cast where he played Cord Elam and understudied Jud Fry. Shabazz's regional credits include, but are not limited to, Topdog/Underdog, Sister Act: The Musical (Lake Dillon Theatre Company) Hands on a Hardbody (Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center) To Kill a Mockingbird (Greenbrier Valley Theatre) The Ballad of Trayvon Martin (New Freedom Theatre) and Little Rock (Passage Theatre). During the pandemic, he has showcased his talents in voiceover acting. He premiered "Stuff," a radio play in association with Astoria Performing Arts, "AXEMAN" a radio play scored and performed with The Curiosity Cabinet chamber ensemble in Brooklyn, as well as "Everything Is Super Great" a stage play presented through live Zoom performances with Vivid Stage in his hometown of Summit, New Jersey. Shabazz holds a degree in theatre education from Kean University. He is represented by SW Artists and is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association.
