Beth M. Howard is a writer, producer and pie maker. She is the producer and director of the documentary, Pieowa: A Piece of America and the author of 4 books, including Making Piece, World Piece, and the pie cookbook Ms. American Pie. From 2010 to 2014, she lived in the American Gothic House, the real house from the iconic Grant Wood painting located in Eldon, Iowa, where, during her four years there she ran the Pitchfork Pie Stand. Her story of using pie as a tool to heal grief has been featured on CBS This Morning, Hallmark Channel, History Channel, NPR, New York Times, LA Times, Real Simple, Huffington Post, AOL's You've Got, CNN's Anderson Cooper, and many other outlets, and she has given a TEDx Talk on the subject.
