Al-Jaleel Knox is an Atlanta born actor. His mother is of Caribbean descent and his father was born in the United States. Al-Jaleel started rapping at the age of 9 performing in many talent shows around Atlanta. Al-Jaleel was a member of the north and south rap duo Called the "Twins of Crime"(T.O.C) who performed in the Atlanta area when they were only 11. The duo later split leaving Al-Jaleel as a solo artist. As he grew up he moved around attending a total of 7 high schools. After graduating he continued his passion for the arts writing poetry and raps, but found a knew love in the entertainment business, Acting. Al-Jaleel's original goal was to use acting as a way to make his name known for his music career, but once he began to pursue his career in the film & TV industry, he fell in love with the craft. Al-Jaleel can be seen in his role as Gabe Weatherspoon in Netflix's original series "Sweet Magnolias" and Dizz in the hit STARZ series "BMF". He can also be found frequently performing at The Second City Chicago and IO theater.
