Blood Relatives
I’m having a problem connecting to this show because despite all the emotional turmoil in the lives of these characters, their reactions seem awfully muted. We finally got some reaction about the loss of his child from Oscar, and I thought the scene where he lamented he’ll probably never have another chance to have a baby was well done. But overall, I don’t get a sense of true loss from him.
And Thomas doesn’t seem to have any sort of reaction to this at all. He and Oscar are supposedly lovers and were planning this new life together with this baby, but they really haven’t discussed what happened. In fact, I really can’t recall any scenes of them interacting as a couple. And that seems unrealistic to me, as if there are beats in the story that are missing.

Emmerdale's Aaron Livesy is left stunned in tonight's (March 21) episode as Ed asks him to move away to France. When Ed pays a visit to the pub, Aaron (Danny Miller) tries to end their relationship - suggesting that it's pointless to spend time together when they'll soon be living in different countries. However, Ed (Lloyd Everitt) unexpectedly reveals the extent of his (more)...

EastEnders
I’m glad Amira has finally gotten the message, given up on Syed and left town. Given that Syed cheated on her for over a year with Christian, ended their marriage to be with Christian and wanted nothing more than to be with Christian after Christian dumped him late last year, it’s pretty clear that he’s just not that into her. I just hope she doesn’t give him a hard time about finally getting a divorce and lets him see his daughter regularly without a hassle. Her character has worn out her welcome, and it’s time to move on. I will miss scenes of Christian and Amira being bitchy to each other though. That was always fun to watch.
As for Zainab finally confessing that she purposefully sent Yusef to his death, which led to Tamwar being seriously burned, it was a moment long in coming.

Will Iolo ever have a storyline?
I really don’t have a clip to present about this show as this is more of a commentary regarding why I haven’t had any coverage on this Welsh drama in months. I get a lot of requests and questions about it so I thought I’d address the issue. Regular readers know that I was a big fan of this soap. Iolo, their gay character has always been written well and the actor, Dyfan Rees, is terrific in the role. But Iolo hasn’t had a storyline since his relationship with Alun last year.
Yes, he appears regularly, but only in support of other storylines such as when his brother Macs was raped (a great storyline that the show inexplicably dropped with no resolution). I wouldn’t say he’s a ‘barely there’ gay,...

Emmerdale star Danny Miller has predicted that his character Aaron Livesy's new romance storyline will prove a hit with fans. Next week's episodes of the ITV1 soap see Aaron embark on a relationship with rugby player Ed Roberts, who was first introduced as a customer at the garage earlier this month. Aaron's bond with Ed marks the first time that he has developed strong feelings for anybody since the death of his boyfriend Jackson last year. Miller, pondering how Emmerdale viewers will react to the plot, told Inside Soap: "Those who got into the Aaron and Jackson story from the start will still love Jackson. They might not take to Ed at first, but they will. "Lloyd Everitt, who plays him, is a great actor - he's helping to make it all very believable." Discussing the story, he continued: "Aaron has a chance to learn (more)...
