Modern Talking is a German musical duo that existed from 1984 to 1987 and from 1998 to 2003, performing dance music in the style of Eurodisco, Europop and Eurodance.
The group consisted of Thomas Anders (lead vocal) and Dieter Bohlen (guitar, backing vocals, writing songs, producing). It is one of the most successful bands in the history of popular music and the most successful of those created in Germany: records of the band around the world were sold in more than 200 million copies. The singles of the duo occupied the first places in the charts since the mid-1980s (Modern Talking: You're My Heart, You're My Soul (1985)) until the early 2000s (Modern Talking: Win the Race (2001)), and the albums headed the world charts ('Back for Good'). The band's music still hits the playlists of radio stations, and their albums continue to be sold. The duo made a great contribution to the development of European and Asian music.
