Tall, thin, jolly, handsome, and beautiful, soulful high tenor voiced
singer-musician Talmadge Pearsall first started out as the keyboardist
and the co-lead singer of
Sputzy Sparacino's R&B/Dance/Cover
band, Modern Man from 1984 till 1991 in
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He and Sputzy had composed a few songs
together in the band. And later he would help co-write "The World
Inside Your Eyes" ("Day Of The Dead" (Ballad)) song for
George A. Romero's
Day of the Dead (1985) horror
movie soundtrack with
John Harrison, Sputzy himself, and
Jim Blazer. Talmadge then would join another
Pittsburgh R&B/Dance/Cover band called The Nation as the lead singer
back in the early 90s. They did beautiful covers of
Keith Sweat's "Make You Sweat"
(1990), Guy's "Let's Chill" (1990), and many more R&B/Dance songs. Then
after his times playing with both Modern Man
and The Nation, before Talmadge had left Pittsburgh, he then fronted a
band called Sleeping Giants.
He also scored music from movies like Top Gun (1986); having songs placed in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997) series., JAG (1995), and Vegas Vacation (1997) as well as numerous TV commercials, His music has touched everyone. He also has appeared on various TV shows, He appeared on Late Night with Conan O'Brien (1993) with his band Sleeping Giants in February 21, 1997 when Norm MacDonald and Christopher Guest appeared as guests on the show. Talmadge has also appeared on WQED TV, CSI, and more. His CDs have received radio airplay on over 100 stations, nationwide.
Talmadge also has toured the world many times over the years with groups like, The Temptations and Smokey Robinson. As part of his current show, he sings many of Smokey's classics and has been favorably compared to this Motown giant.
As the 2007 Entertainer of the Year in Las Vegas, Talmadge is poised to reach out not only to those who are lucky enough to catch his show in Vegas, but also to the rest of us as his music is now beginning to permeate the retail market.
