“We were shooting a nakabandi sequence at the back roads in the afternoon when three young guys on a bike approached us. My assistant was also dressed as a cop and I had my back towards them. They promptly proceeded to offer a bribe to the assistant, concocting a sob story about why they weren’t carrying a licence when I turned around. It soon dawned on them that it was a film set. The whole unit had a good laugh,” Sharman told Mirror, adding that he escorted the hapless boys to their bike.

Salman Khan's fans have been eagerly waiting to get a glimpse of the star on the silver screen after his last release Dabangg 2 (2012). And now, the trailer launch of his next titled Jai Ho will take place on December 12.

The first look poster of Jai Ho had released last week and the trailer was supposed to come out at the same time but due to some undisclosed reason, the trailer release of the film was postponed. Produced and directed by Sohail Khan, the film is based on an army officer who strives to protect his country from a catastrophe.

Jai Ho stars Salman Khan, Tabu and Nadira Babbar, along with newcomer Daisy Shah, Bruna Abdullah, Sana Khan and Ashmit Patel and is slated to release on January 24.

These days each and every star is looking for new ways to promote their upcoming films. This time it is superstar Salman Khan who came up with an innovative idea.

The actor announced on Twitter, where he has over 5,5 million followers, that his fans could help him create the poster of his upcoming movie Jai Ho. All they had to do was follow the link Khan provided and create the poster with him. The poster will then be revealed at 10am in the morning.

All his fans were super excited as it had been quite a disappoinment earlier this week when the news broke that they had to wait another week to see the first trailer. Superexcitement of his fans resulted in #JaiHoPosterToday becoming a trending topic.

It’s common for talks of records breaking to follow a film once it has released however, perhaps for the first time the media is able to report a record breaking figure for a film prior to release.

Salman Khan’s upcoming January release, Jai Ho, has been picked up Eros International for domestic and overseas distribution. The team at Eros sat down for a screening of the film to decide on the distribution details including the final figure. However so impressed with the film they cut discussions short within 1 hour of watching the film and struck a deal of 110 crores for the distributions rights. Making the film a member of the 100 cr club much prior to the release! Made on a reported budget of 130 crores Jai Ho is safely on its way of making its investors more than happy. Incidentally this is said to be the biggest budget a Salman Khan film has had.
