Debra Sears is a stage, screen, voice-over actor, improviser and host. In addition to acting in mainstream Film & TV, Debra is active in the independent film scene. She produced and acted in three ReelFast 48hr Film Festival short films. The third film, Super-Anon, won two ReelFast awards, including Best Film, and went on to screen at more than 75 film festivals garnering 15 additional awards and other nominations. Another short film she associate produced and acted in, Scattered, was selected for Telefilm Canada's "Not Short on Talent" showcase at the Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, screened at a number of film festivals and, garnered various awards including best performances. In addition to voicing various commercials and promotional videos, Debra is honored to have served as the voice of the Leo Awards on a number of occasions. A Theatre Acting major, Debra graduated with a BA from the University of Saskatchewan. She continues to perform on stage. For the Vancouver International Fringe Festival she co-produced and performed in Dyck Spacee: A Spy-Fi Improvised Radio Play (2018) and performed in the sketch based comedy Those Who Can't (2019). She also performs improv with a few different groups including Sunny with a Chance of Cher. Debra is an active member of Women In Film & Television Vancouver and was recognized by the organization with a Sharon Gibbon Lifetime Member Award for hosting their monthly Networking events for over a dozen years.
