Henry Mu started his education at Newbury College in Boston, and
received a degree in marketing. He later transferred to University of
Massachusetts-Boston further his education & graduated with a degree in
Management Information systems (MIS).
In 2002 Henry decided to take different career route and ventured in real estate development. The real estate market proved to be a wise investment, Henry then created Lifted Properties LLC. Henry's success in real estate investments and his entrepreneurial spirit led him to venture into the entertainment industry.
In 2005 Henry opened his first entertainment establishment located in Providence, Rhode Island. The venue named Lot 401, instantly became noted as a prestigious upscale lounge/restaurant & nightclub. John Marriani, renowned food critic of Esquire Magazine, voted Lot 401 one of the Top 20 New Restaurants for 2005. The James Beard Foundation has also acknowledged Lot 401 in culinary excellence and has invited Henry, and Chef Rachel Klein to make a cooking a presentation in New York City. The nightclub upstairs has also received tremendous attention. In 2005, Lot 401 was voted "Best Nightclub" by Providence Monthly in their annual on-line polls. Henry has great appreciation for this award because it is voted by the readers and not the publication itself. Lot 401 nightclub has hosted many music & film celebrities during their stay in Providence.
Henry Mu's success in these areas eventually led him to the film business. Henry collaborated with martial arts champion Jason Yee and became a producer with Edge of Darkness Productions. The company produced 'Dark Warrior' which made successful runs in NY, Chicago & New England Film Festivals and Cannes Film Market. Dark Warrior has caught the attention of prominent distributors & producers making Jason Yee a rising film star. In late 2005 Mu & Jason Yee formed Lifted Productions and are now developing several feature film productions.
