New Jersey Ken Foley was raised on genre films and television. He made his first film, a high school class project on special effects, at age 15. It caught the attention of Emmy-winning producer Harve Bennett (Star Trek II-V, A Woman Called Golda), who encouraged Ken to pursue his goal a filmmaker.

After moving to Los Angeles he was mentored by Bennett, Gale Anne Hurd (Terminator, Aliens, Hulk) and Kevin Hooks (Passenger 57, Fled, Prison Break, 24). Ken worked as a cameraman in television news before joining Paramount Studios' post production department. There he worked on such films as Four Feathers, Star Trek: Nemesis, Clockstoppers and others. But writing and directing remained his passion.

With his mentors' encouragement, Ken entered Loyola Marymount's undergraduate film program. There he made the dark comedy short Domestic Bliss. For his senior thesis, Ken wanted to make a film in the genre that inspired him. The result was Final Run, an ambitious 35mm science fiction short that placed as a finalist at the San Diego Comic Con and other festivals.

In addition to writing a full length Final Run feature, Ken's other recent scripts include the action adventure Scion and an untitled horror script.
