André Feldhaus began his musical studies as a child on the piano. As a
teenager he co-founded the punk band Mother's Ruin and started writing
songs. After graduating from high school, he studied media studies as
well as German and English language studies in Bochum, Liverpool and
Bremen. During this time, he already worked on first film compositions
and formed collaborations with up and coming directors. Since 1998,
André Feldhaus improvises on the piano at live events and writes music
for both film and theatre. In 2002 he was voted on the board of the
Filmbüro Bremen and significantly contributes to the network of film
musicians and composers in and around Bremen. Since 2004, André
Feldhaus has worked on a variety of projects as a film composer,
especially focusing on documentaries like A Snapshot with Che, which
won the World Gold Medal at the New York Festival.
