An award-winning filmmaker, Roy's history in film began over thirty-five years ago. He was involved in the development and production of several films and documentaries, which include "Champions Forever" staring Muhammad Ali, serving as the supervising producer, "The Closer" staring Danny Aiello, serving as the co-executive producer, and "The Heart of New Orleans" a film about the rescue efforts during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina to name a few. Roy traveled to Uganda to direct a film about a medical team that transformed a small church into a clinic and treated thousands of poverty-stricken Africans. "Bombo: The Medical Mission" is a film about love and sacrifice learned by both Americans and Ugandans, as they discover the power of teamwork. His most recent effort was directing a documentary that has garnered 12 national and international awards. "The Race of Our Lives" is a groundbreaking documentary about Relapsing Polychondritis (RP), an autoimmune disease. A patient diagnosed with RP launched a global movement that is bringing this little-known disease to the forefront of scientific discoveries.
