  • He trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) in London, in the same class as Laurence Fox and Leo Bill. He was selected to appear on RADA's "100 Faces of RADA", among such other honorees as including Sir Anthony Hopkins and Sir Richard Attenborough.
  • Plays the saxophone and performed at the Edinburgh Festival when he was 11 with the South Coast Jazz Band
  • Born to Nigerian parents, he was brought up in Nigeria, Spain and Germany.
  • Fagbenle made history when he became the first person to write, direct, compose, star and executive produce the opening episode of a TV series on a major US network with his show "Maxxx" (HULU).
  • In 2012, London England, O-T took on the role of Slupianek, (originated by Alan Cumming) in 'The Conquest of the South Pole', at the Arcola and Rose Theatres. Fagbenle went on to be Panel nominated for 'Best Male Performance' at the prestigious Off West End Awards.
  • O-T runs a charity named the ABC Foundation which helps African children studying technology. It is named after his mother Ally Bedford Children's Foundation.
  • He has played multiple leading roles for the BBC world service and BBC Radio 4, including Paul in 6 degrees of separation, Harpo inThe Color Purple and playing Marvin Gaye in the BBC radio biography.
  • He won the sportsman of the year award in his final year of high school
  • In 2004 O-T won a M.E.N Theatre Award for best actor in a leading role for his portrayal of Paul Poitier in '6 Degrees of Separation' at the Royal Exchange Theatre.
  • Originated the role of "Sportin Life" in the classic musical Porgy and Bess on London's West End.
  • O-T led the National Theatres production of Ma Rainey's Black Bottom to an Olivier Award.
  • Older brother of Luti Fagbenle.
  • His sister Temi Fagbenle is a professional basketball player in the WNBA.
