Has two sons with her husband Reza Jahangiri, Holden Robert Jahangiri (b. July 18, 2013) and Greyson Robert Jahangiri (b. September 2015).

(April 20, 2013) Married her longtime boyfriend Reza Jahangiri at The Beverly Hills Hotel following a 3-month-long engagement.

Received the 2001 Fred Astaire Award for Best Female Dancer for her performance as "Peggy Sawyer" in the Broadway show, "42nd Street". She also got a Tony nomination and a nomination for Outer Critics Circle Award for it. For "Therese Raquin" in "Thou Shalt Not", she was nominated for the 2002 Fred Astaire Award.

Was nominated for Broadway's 2001 Tony Award as Best Actress (Featured Role - Musical) for a revival of "42nd Street."

Actress Meredith Patterson understudied Kate in the musical, "42nd Street", on Broadway (2001). Meredith took over the role 3 months after opening in August 2001, then Kate ended up replacing Meredith in August 2002.

Kate Levering grew up in Sacramento, California and graduated from El Camino Fundamental High School in 1997. Participated in school plays, acting, and dancing classes until she left California for New York to pursue Broadway.
