Rowan Radojevich Kelley was born on May 5th, 2003, in Boulder, Colorado. He is an American screenwriter, director, and producer. Rowan is known for frequently working within the genres of fantasy, horror, adventure, science fiction, and thriller. He wrote, produced, and directed his first short film, "A Darker Place: A Horror Short Film," during the 2020 quarantine when he was 17. With strong connections to 80s, 90s, and early 2000s filmmaking styles, aesthetics, and techniques, Rowan's work can often be distinguished by his use of stories which commonly fall under the "dark fantasy," "coming-of-age," and "ordinary meets extraordinary" sub-genres in unison with both vintage and grand visuals. In addition, his stories also frequently feature connections to various monsters, complex worlds, and symbolic creatures. Rowan is a student at Chapman University's "Dodge College of Film & Media Arts" where he studies film production, and he has also started his own film production company, Mirk Productions, which focuses on bringing fantastical genre films and stories to life.
