Biography

Zara Goodman is a British-Australian actor, singer-songwriter, writer, and producer of mixed English and Papua New Guinean descent. She began her film career during the height of Covid-19 and has since appeared in various Australian and international productions, working alongside Darren Gilshenan, Sam Neill, Annette Bening, and Claire van der Boom in her short career. Most recently, she worked with Hannah Grace Fulton and The General Public Productions on their new TikTok comedy series "Shin Splints," funded through the Screen Queensland "Channel Lab: Short Cuts" initiative. Zara releases music under artist name "Zara the Good" and is writing and producing her debut music album. Additionally, Zara is in the process of setting up her own production company, having already created and written several projects, including a gothic comedy short film, Gen Z military sitcom, period murder mystery series, and YA fantasy drama series, with a passion to share personal, powerful, and poignant stories centred around womanhood, existentialism, faith, love, Otherness, trauma, and healing.
