Terry Blade is a singer-songwriter and 3x Gold Medal Winner at the Global Music Awards. A multi-genre artist and 2x nominee at the Hollywood Music in Media Awards, his musical work is grounded in his experience as a black queer artist. Blade has drawn comparisons to artists such as Meshell Ndegeocello, Nina Simone and Gil Scott-Heron. The album won the Gold Medal Award for Best Lyrics/Songwriting: Listener Impact at the Global Music Awards. The following year, his second album Neo Queer won the Gold Medal Award for Neo Soul at the Global Music Awards. In 2023, Blade's third album Ethos: Son of a Sharecropper won the Gold Medal Award for Americana at the Global Music Awards. The album's single Won't Be Around won Best Blues Recording at the 2023 Radio Music Awards. The album's closing track In My House garnered Blade the award for Best Vocalist at the 2023 Music Video Awards as well as the award for Best Gospel Recording at the 2023 Radio Music Awards.
